My birth as a music photographer

I borned in El Puerto Santa Maria, but from a very young age I began to travel to Madrid (Spain) with some frequency, until 2012 when I decided to move it there. Where I start an stage that would mark my professional career as a music photographer.

In 2015 I started my career as a photographer, and in these years I managed to consolidate myself in the world of music photography, even collaborating from 2017 to 2020 in one of the two most important media in Spain and Latin America: Rafabasa.

I currently work at Metal Hammer Spain. In addition, I’m the main administrato of the magazine’s website.

What did I study to get here?

Graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and with the International Master of Contemporary Photography and Personal Projects at EFTI, I was always clear to me my vocation as a musical photographer which would lead me to carry out numerous musical works in which I would stand out in musical photography.

My work as a music photographer

I have done different musical works for promotional sessions of metal bands such as Ángulo Inversion, Avulsed, Helix Nebula, Exodium and SouthGate.

My passion for music was the perfect ingredient for taking concert photography for well-known heavy metal bands such as: Slipknot, Stone Sour, Incubus, Lamb Of God, While She Sleeps, Michael Schenker Fest, Avantasia, Rotting Christ, Carach Angren, Skid Row, Trivium, Gojira, La Polla Records, El Drogas, Testament, Exodus, Death Angel, Ghostemane, Toundra, Crisix, Berri Txarrak, Jinjer, Sabaton, Amaranthe, Apocalyptica, MGLA, Steven Wilson, Orishas, Moonspell, Celtibeerian and… many more!

I am one of the 4 spanish musical photographers capable of publishing a photographic book about a band, Ocelon: “Road Report: One Year With Ocelon”, 2018, Editorial Circulo Rojo.

The most important thing that I highlight about this work is that it has been completely designed and layout by me and its distribution was carried out by numerous enclaves of the national territory. Also, since 2016 I have been the official photographer for Ocelon. Discover my experience with them!

In 2018 and 2019 I was a music photographer for the Resurrection Fest for the RAFABASA pressmedia.

But I’m also more than a music photographer

However, I can’t forget to tell you that I also work as a product photographer. Many companies have already trusted my work, achieving the best result by offering them the ideal budget they were looking for. As it can be, Cash Converters.

As an example of an event photographer, I must tell you that I was the official and musical photographer at the launch event of the crowdfunding company called EINICIA and I have come to cover numerous press conferences as a music photographer for Pablo Alboran and the great Rosendo Mercado.

I also made photographic books for the official Saurom makeup artist: Violette Vela and the singer, Silvia Anantha.

I am passionate about my work as a music photographer, I will not deny it. It is very difficult to describe that feeling that occurs when each of my shots meet the rhythm of the music.

Do you want to enjoy my music photography?

Check out the many services that I also perform within promotional photography, music photography, event photography, product photography and finally the layout of photographic books.

Finally, thank the designer Maria Rafecas for designing my logo.
